On August 25-27th we invited Cub Scout Pack 107 to join us on a camping trip to Fletcher’s Island on silver lake. During this trip, we did many cool things. One of which was building and donating a picnic table for the Grafton Land Trust,
Without a doubt, we ate very well on this trip. We enjoyed dutch oven chicken pot pies that we put together and baked ourselves. We also had a high calorie snack which involved deep frying anything and everything that we had on the island. Some of our fried goodies included: Rice Krispy Treats, Oreos, Gummy Bears, Sausage, and a Kit Kat Bar.
When we weren’t stuffing our faces, we took part in a series of scout skills challenges that were dubbed “The Scout Skills Olympic Games.” These games tested our scouts abilities to tie knots, start fires and more.
We all really enjoyed our time on the island, and we tried many new things that we will continue to do for many events to come.
